We are seeking input from residents interested in parks and recreational amenities in the District's planning zone 2 (generally, properties east of the 23 Freeway and north of Hillcrest Drive).

Over the next few weeks, the District has scheduled four Community Input Meetings revolving around parks in Lang Ranch and neighboring communities:
    February 8:  Meeting 1 - Background & Brainstorming
    February 11: Meeting 2 - Walking Tour of Lang Ranch Community Park
    February 29: Meeting 3 - More Brainstorming
    March 21: Meeting 4 - Report & Recommendations

Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the project site, 1350 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks, CA, at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012.  A California General Contractor's "B" license is required for this project.  Five references are required with the Bid Form.

Bids will be opened on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.

Join the fun at Borchard Community Center's 25th Annual Art & Crafts Festival on Saturday & Sunday, March 3-4, on the walkways and front lawns of Borchard Center, as well as indoors.  The event runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm each day and features extraordinary displays of more than 100 craftpersons and artists, selling a variety of original art and handmade treasures.

Also includes hands-on children's activities, refreshment booths, and much more.

Feelin' the luck o' the Irish?  Join us for Leprechaun's Lucky Gold Hunt, Saturday, March 17 starting at 10:00am at the Thousand Oaks Community Center.

Parents help their children search for gold coins hidden throughout the park, then turn in their pot of gold for fun prizes.  Activities start at 10:00am; the hunt for gold begins at 11:00am.  $5/child.

It's time for our annual EGGSTRAVAGANZA!!

Join us on Saturday, March 31, from 12noon to 3:00pm at the Conejo Creek South Playfields (Janss Road & 23 Freeway).

Features egg hunts, game booth, "The Bunny," crafts, inflatable adventures, pony rides, face painting, entertainment, and much, much more!  Hunt for eggs and turn them in for fantastic prizes!  Admission: $5 for children age 2-12; $15 for families (3 or more); children less than age 2 are admitted free.  Refreshments & baskets available for purchase.
