Property for the 7-acre Russell Park, located adjacent to Westlake Hills Elementary School, was acquired in 1971 and developed into a park in 1972.  The shady park includes a play area with full accessibility. In 2016, the District worked with the bordering property owners association to install a concrete picnic pad with a shade structure.
