The Borchard Community Center is located at Borchard Park, a 28.7-acre community park located at the corner of Borchard and Reino Roads in Newbury Park. Borchard Park amenities include a soccer field, three softball fields, three reservable picnic areas, four lighted tennis courts, a lighted outdoor basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a skatepark, a tot playground, a youth playground, two sets of horseshoe pits, and bocce courts.
Borchard Community Center has an indoor basketball court along with four meeting/activity rooms. The preschool room is located in the adjacent building across from the tennis courts. The Center provides the surrounding neighborhoods with a wide range of recreational programs serving tots through seniors and organizes several large scale special events throughtout the year.
CRPD is always looking for quality recreation leisure programs to offer to the community. Our goal is to provide the most diverse and highest quality recreation and leisure to people of all ages. If you have an interest in offering a program, please contact any of the community centers' Supervisors or Coordinators.
Volunteers are also a vital part of CRPD! We use youth, teen and adult volunteers for classes, special events and in our community centers. We will update this page on a regular basis to inform the community what opportunities there are and how to go about volunteering. Many teenagers and tweens use us to accumulate quality volunteer hours for school and for future job opportunities. Many adults volunteer with a service group or to stay connected to a particular program or to the community in general. All volunteers are trained and work with a variety of staff to assist in making the many programs we offer the highest quality they can be. If you are interested in volunteering, just contact any of the community centers and keep checking back to this page for current opportunities.
