Charity Karaoke...Sing for a Cause

ELVIS COMES ALIVE! Haven't made your donation yet?  Click here to see who has!

Do you love parks in the Conejo Valley?

Do you love Elvis Presley?

Combine your love of the parks and the King and help us raise money for Play Conejo!

THE EVENT

ConejoRPD Parks Administrator, Tom Hare, will don his jumpsuit and perform an enthusiastic version of Elvis Presley’s “Burning Love” on September 21, 2018 at Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks. Twenty karaoke singers representing 20 non-profits will perform with a live band in a competition to raise money for their non-profits. Tom will get as close as he can to Elvis’ 1973 performance (www.crpd.org/elvislive). Think about it, Tom has the outfit, the jewelry, the hair, but no talent whatsoever... so it should be a lot of fun!

HOW YOU CAN HELP

80% of the money we raise goes to Play Conejo; the other 20% goes to the Conejo Senior Volunteer Program.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the event and thus $8,000 for Play Conejo. Help us send a kid to summer camp, take a swim lesson, or build a playground. You can sponsor Tom by donating below with a credit or debit card, or by sending a check payable to Play Conejo (please put “Charity Karaoke” in the bottom left) at 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. Your generous donation will be recognized through various social media “shout-outs” via ConejoRPD channels.

If you wish to attend the event in addition to donating, tickets are $20 and will go on sale on July 1, 2018 at www.charitykaraoke.org. Ticket sales will be split between Borderline Bar and Grill and the Conejo Senior Volunteer Program. Prizes will be awarded for “best performance” and “most money raised” and the event will be live streamed on Facebook.
